A Thought

Psalm 116 says, “I love the LORD, because he has heard my voice and my plea for mercy. Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.”

Sometimes it can feel as though God doesn’t hear our prayers when we look at the chaos and discord that surrounds us. But know this, God has heard your cries. God knows the deepest cries in our hearts and in response he has given a promise of eternal life. Patience isn’t easy, but his promise is sure and we can have peace knowing that in Christ, God has heard our prayers and has come in person to answer our prayers for eternal life and peace. Now we join together thanking and praising him for such goodness. Take a moment today to stop, read Psalm 116, and praise God for the goodness that we have in Christ who reigns in power.

God bless you and keep you as you go through your week. See you Sunday, if not before.

Youth Group from 12-2 – This is the same day as a Meet and Greet of new members at the church so we’re going to get some food together over in the Multi-purpose room to meet some new members of the Immanuel family and then split off to the Ed Building for games, conversation, and fellowship.

Youth vs Adult Bowling – 3-5pm at West Park Bowl in Columbia. It’s $2 per game and $2 for shoes. The first round will be crazy bowl and then normal games after that. I’m excited to help the youth show the adults a thing or two about bowling. Have questions? Let me know. Be sure to sign up in the Narthex.

Feel free to call or visit with questions, or to just talk in general.
