Music has an important role in the worship life at Immanuel. There are various opportunities provided for those interested to use their talents in proclaiming God’s Word through music.

Adult Choir:

  • Leads worship with familiar hymns and anthems
  • Consists of mixed SATB voices
  • No tryouts or auditions are necessary; high-school age and up
  • Ability to read music is not necessary, but have desire to sing
  • Rehearses in the balcony on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m.
  • Sings during the Sunday services, approximately once a month (September-May), and at most Festival services
  • Directed by Ann Frank

Agape Ringers:

  • Participates in playing selections throughout worship services
  • Consists of 11 ringers; high-school age and up
  • Ability to read music is helpful
  • Rehearses in church on Wednesday evenings at 8:05 p.m. (following the services during Advent and Lent)
  • Rings during the Sunday services, approximately once a month (September-May), and at most Festival services
  • Directed by Ann Frank

Immanubells:

  • Participates in playing selections throughout worship services
  • Consists of 11 ringers; 5th grade-through high school age
  • Ability to read music is helpful, but not necessary
  • Rehearses in church Wednesday evenings at 5:45 p.m.
  • Rings during the Sunday services, approximately once a month (September-May)
  • Searching for a director. Contact Ann if interested.

Sunday School Children’s Choirs:

  • Consist of a Preschool-2nd grade choir and a 3rd-8th grade choir
  • Sing anthems at the 10:15 a.m. services throughout the months of September-May (occasionally, both choirs jointly praise God on specific Sundays)
  • Preschool-2nd grade choir rehearses in the Education Building on Sunday mornings at 9:10 a.m. prior to their Sunday School lesson
  • 3rd-8th grade choir rehearses in the church basement on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. prior to their Sunday School lesson

Instrumentalists:

  • Individuals or ensembles accompany hymns and choir anthems throughout the Church Year, especially at Festival services.
  • Consist of a variety of brass, percussion, string, keyboard, and woodwind instruments
  • Rehearsals as needed

Solo and Small Group Vocal Ensembles:

  • Individuals or ensembles sing selections throughout the Church Year when other choirs are not scheduled.
  • Rehearsals as needed

Special Services Held Throughout the Year:

  • Outdoor Service – 1st Sunday in June – 10:15 a.m.
  • Lessons & Carols – last Advent service in December – 6:30 p.m.
  • Sunday School Christmas Service – Sunday before Christmas – 10:15 a.m.
