In Preparation…for Easter 7

I can’t believe it’s already the last Sunday of Easter. Next week is our outdoor service and we will enter the Pentecost season.

Instead of focusing on one particular thing today, I thought it would be good to talk about what worship is. I’ve been thinking a lot about the phrase “Casual Worship.” Is there such a thing? Is there such a thing as a “laid back” form of worship in comparison to an “On our toes and focused on what we’re doing” form of worship? Certainly, styles and what is included in a particular worship service can vary depending on time and culture, but what is worship? That’s what I decided to talk about in today’s video. In Preparation…for Easter 5 of 2017

Welcome to our time of preparation for the 5th Sunday of Easter. This is a time to take a moment to reflect on the themes of the day. Today I wanted to take a look at our Opening Sentences for this weekend which comes from Psalm 146. The theme this weekend is about Jesus as the Way, the Truth, and the Life. With this in mind, we approach the one true God in prayer and praise…not only on Sunday but every day.
