In Preparation: 2nd Sunday after Pentecost 2018
Greetings in Christ,
This weekend is the 2nd Sunday after Pentecost and at Immanuel, it is our Outdoor Service.
The Outdoor Service gives us an opportunity to enjoy creation as we hear God’s Word about His continued work leading to the restoration of all creation. We still have a 530 service on Saturday, but our only Sunday morning service will be at 10:15 after the Bible study hour and will be held on the church lawn on the alley side. Greetings in Christ,
This weekend, Americans celebrate Memorial Day Weekend. We remember those who have given their lives in the line of duty. How appropriate, then, that on this Sunday in the church year we hear Jesus’ interaction with Nicodemus on a weekend celebrating those who give their lives for others.
