Greetings in Christ,

After this weekend we only have one more sermon in our summer series on the I AM statements of Jesus in the book of John. This week we look at John 14:1-7 where Jesus tells his disciples that he is the way, and the truth, and the life. Apart from Jesus, there is no access to the Father and thus, no access to eternal life.

When we join together as the body of Christ, we join together around His Word and sacrament. We confess that He is the only way…there are not multiple entrances into the kingdom of God. He is the source of truth…we don’t gather around our opinions and ideas, but around the objective truth of Christ. He is the life…and not even death can overcome him!
