Women’s Christian Ministry (WCM)

This organization has been a constant at Immanuel for over 80 years. The purpose of this organization is to promote Christian growth and fellowship among the women of Immanuel Lutheran Church in accordance with God’s Word and to assist in the various charitable endeavors of Immanuel Lutheran Church, our community, and the LWML.

The ladies of the Women’s Christian Ministry at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo, Illinois, form a unit within the Metro South Zone of the Southern Illinois District of the International Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.

We are always looking for more ladies to join us!  Our meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of January, March, May, September & November at 6:00 p.m. in the overflow room at Immanuel.

Are you looking for a Ladies’ Bible Study?  Join us or a Ladies’ Bible Study on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00 p.m. (7-8 p.m. during Lent & Advent) in the conference room. We are studying various topics throughout the year, so watch the weekly bulletins for our latest topic! Interested in leading a Women’s Bible study on a different day? Let us know.

Looking for a Quilters’ Guild?  You’re in luck!  Join us every Tuesday from 1-4 p.m. and every Thursday from 2-7 p.m. We meet in the education building.  All levels of quilters are welcome!  Contact Jean Hoeffken (618-612-9670) for details.
